theBoxlab assists startup companies in getting funding and raise capital requirements from R1000.00 and above in the seed and early-stage phases. We are looking for ambitious teams from all industries based in South Africa and a priority is given to startups in the Information Technology (IT) Industry.

theBoxlab’s selection process is faster. It often only takes about days to a week from the application to the application's review and the campaign's start. It is encouraged that founders fill out the profile accurately and completely to accelerate the pace of the process.

Internal and external mentors have the opportunity to make their expertise available to startups. This way, startups have access to a network of experts. The startup can navigate to the mentorship page to choose the appropriate mentorship they seek. This contact can lead to a productive collaboration.

Theboxlab does not charge a fee at all. You can list your startup and we will help you curate your profile and promote your campaign. You can always request your funds at any point of your wish. Please note that the funds will take a few days to a week to be paid in your preferred account.

Yes. At the very least, you should have a Proof of Concept (PoC) but if you already have a startup company running, it is much better. Please note: Proof of Concept is accepted only if there are in the Information Technology (IT) Industry.

All founders, mentors, employees, and local leaders joining sessions of the theBoxlab have to sign NDAs before participating in the program. Your IP is protected under the NDA included in our privacy policy
